The is a region where cars and truck is king and fuel is low-cost, often leaving little reward to find more environmentally-friendly methods of walking around.

But this year, as protests throughout the Middle East have pushed up the rate of oil, the problem of discovering alternative sources of fuel has come into sharp focus.

In an area that has among the greatest carbon footprints worldwide, one business is making the most of the growing pressure to discover options to oil. It's established the Middle East's first plan to recycle cooking oil into biodiesel. It's showing successful too, already their client-list consists of McDonald's.
